Built the same way as a new kitchen
Display units come from the same workshop and use the same materials. The difference is that their layout and finish have already been decided.
An ex-display kitchen is a set that has been installed in our shop and that we sell below its price because we need to refresh the space. The units are the same quality as a new kitchen, and in many cases we can adapt them to the measurements of your home.
Display units come from the same workshop and use the same materials. The difference is that their layout and finish have already been decided.
We measure your kitchen and work out which units fit, which are cut down and which need adding to so the whole kitchen works properly.
We dismantle it, check the hardware and doors and show you the real condition of each piece before anything is agreed.
The kitchens available vary as we refresh the showroom. Ask us on WhatsApp or drop into the shop to see what is there at the time.
Ex-display kitchens in Tenerife mostly change hands through adverts on social media and second-hand websites, where it is up to you to check whether the units will fit your home and what condition they are in. We clear the kitchens from our own showroom when we change the displays in the shop, and we sell them with a measure-up, adaptation and fitting, just like a kitchen made from scratch.
It is a complete kitchen that has been installed in the shop so that customers can see finishes, layouts and hardware in person. As a rule, nobody has cooked in it: it has been opened and closed many times, touched and shown, but it has not been exposed to heat, grease or the water of everyday use.
When we refresh the showroom to show new materials or colours, those kitchens have to go. That is why they come up for clearance from time to time and with no fixed schedule.
It costs less because it has already been built and is taking up space we need for something else. There is no need to design it from scratch or wait for it to be made, and for us it is better for it to end up in a home than stored in a warehouse.
The reduction depends on each kitchen: how long it has been in the shop, how much adapting it needs and whether it is sold with the worktop and appliances or with the units only. That is why we do not give a general percentage. If you want to compare it with what the same kitchen would cost new, you can get an estimate with the kitchen price calculator.
An ex-display kitchen fits your home if your space can take its layout with reasonable changes. First we measure your kitchen and compare it with the available units. Then we look at what can be done:
If adapting it means building half the kitchen again, it stops being worth it and we will tell you so. In that case a made-to-measure kitchen or our affordable kitchen range usually makes more sense.
Before you decide, check the real condition of each piece rather than relying on the photo. These are the points we go through with you:
Remember also to add IGIC (the Canary Islands sales tax, 7 %) when comparing prices, and to ask what the offer includes: transport, dismantling in the shop, fitting at your home and removal of the old kitchen. If you want more detail on hardware, carcasses and edges, it is in the guide on how to spot a quality kitchen.
The stock changes every time we refresh the showroom, so the reliable way to know what is available is to ask us. Send us a WhatsApp message with the approximate measurements of your kitchen and a photo, or come to the showroom to see them in person. If one fits, we arrange a measure-up and give you a fixed quote with the adaptation included.
Whether it can be set aside while we measure your space and confirm that it fits depends on each kitchen and on whether other people are interested in it. Ask us about the conditions for that particular kitchen.
Some kitchens are cleared with their appliances and others with the units only. If you are interested in them, check their condition with us and make sure their fitting dimensions match the spaces in your new layout.
Yes, and it is a good moment to fit one, because you can move water points, waste pipes and sockets to match the units that already exist. That way more pieces are reused and fewer extras need buying.
Yes, you can ask about finance when you request the quote. The terms depend on the amount and the transaction, not on whether the kitchen comes from the showroom.
See how it would look and what it would cost in the kitchen planner, or ask us to visit and measure your home.
We will reply with a proposed visit and a first price range. If you prefer to talk, message us on WhatsApp.
