About Cocina en Tenerife

Cocina en Tenerife is a company that designs, builds and installs made-to-measure kitchens on the island. As well as the kitchen, we coordinate the building work when it is needed: plumbing, electrics and wall and floor finishes as part of a single kitchen renovation.

One team, from measure-up to fitting

The same people who measure your kitchen are the ones who design, build and fit it. That avoids the design saying one thing, the workshop understanding another and the fitter finding pieces that do not fit, a risk that appears when each stage is handled by a different company. When something needs adjusting, it is sorted out by someone who has known the project since day one.

It also means you have a clear point of contact from the first call. If a question comes up during the work or after fitting, you know who to call and that person has the full history of your kitchen in front of them.

We build to measure

Every kitchen is built to the real measurements of the home, taken during the visit. Very little is standard in Tenerife homes: ceilings of different heights, walls out of square in the north, narrow kitchens in apartments in the south or pillars in the middle of the wall in flats in Santa Cruz and La Laguna. By building on the island, we adapt each unit to that space and correct whatever is needed on site. We explain it in more detail on the made-to-measure kitchens page.

A showroom where you can see and touch the materials

In the showroom you can compare doors, worktops, handles and hardware in real light before deciding. A colour or a texture looks very different on a screen and in your hand, and a worktop is easier to choose when you can touch it. A fixed quote in writing

The quote you sign itemises units, worktop, appliances, building work and fitting, each separately and with IGIC (the Canary Islands sales tax, 7 %) shown. If something unforeseen turns up during the work, such as a pipe in poor condition when the old kitchen comes out, we explain it and quote it separately before doing it. Nothing is added to the invoice without your go-ahead.

We work across the whole island

We fit kitchens in the north and the south of Tenerife, in the metropolitan area and in the inland municipalities. Each area has its own conditions: the humidity and salt air on the coast, the strong sun in the south or the traditional houses in the north, and we choose materials with them in mind.
